Cool colleagues...

My colleagues...

1. Don't believe in office politics
2. Can't moan and bitch about their salaries or anything else for that matter
3. Are always happy with the work I do
4. Don't mind the odd temper tantrum after a conversation with an idiot
5. Can't whisper nasty little secrets behind my back

The only disadvantage is they sometimes snore so loudly, I can't hear my clients on the other side of the telephone line! (Oh, and I forgot to mention the farts.)

It's tough being a dog on this farm...

P.S. The bed in my office was here when I moved to the farm. I DO NOT use it to take afternoon naps during work hours.

Dear Mr. Frog

Or is that Mrs. Frog? I do not care. I hate a frog.

So recently while cleaning the dogs' houses, as I lifted Katryn's duvet, Mr. (Mrs.) Frog is sitting there, eyeballing me from about a meter away. First things first. I let it rip and scream to let everyone in a 5km radius know that there is a HUGE frog just one meter from me. Now I stand staring at it and it is staring back at me. Both of us waiting. Who will make the first move... Cold sweat is pouring down my back.Well, unfortunately I did and Mr Frog, scared, hops towards me at 1 second per meter. I scream again. At this stage poor Katryn is standing at the gate, but has nowhere to go.

Even though I am not a frog-lover, I will never harm or kill them intentionally. So now I need a plan to safely remove this mister. But how? If I use a spade, there is still a 100% chance of this thing jumping on me. And then it hits me. POOP SCOOP. I run for the kitchen and a Spar plastic bag. Tie the bag to the end of the poop scoop. Run back to the kennel. Luckily Katryn knows what will happen if she messes with Mr. Frog and she has not gone closer to investigate. "Scoop" up Mr. Frog. And set him free on the other side of the house. All is okay. Mr Frog lives. I live, albeit with a bit of a sore throat.

Can you spot the frog?
No animals or humans were harmed during the making of this movie.

Today...

Firstly a very Happy 2012 to all my readers! May 2012 be THE year for all of us.

Today I am still a bit lazy after my two weeks leave, so I am giving you a quick overview of what has happened in my (boring) life!

The holidays started with a BANG when Eloise and her hubby arrived for their annual farm visit. As always, Eloise spoilt us rotten. And we rested, partied, rested. In that order.

The farmer, Francois and Eloise
During this time, all Katryn's pups went to new homes. With some of them it was a very sad goodbye!

Katryn with her last pup
On Saturday friends invited us to our town dam, where only a select few are allowed to come, as the owner of the land through which one must drive to get there, is a bit of a poop. Just look at this!

And then last but not least. We are expecting Bella to have her pups in this coming week. So by next week, I will have forgotten what an awesome holiday I had!!

Too-de-loo!
