So yesterday we pop in there and he asked if I will give it a try. Of course I said yes, but asked him to first get the horse in the *short crush as there is no way I am going into the camp. Long story short. We get the horse in the short crush and I even manage to get him to eat from a bucket and he sniffs my hand without trying to bite me. That is until our LOUD neighbour (who is standing behind the horse) opens his mouth. Stallion gets the fright of his life, kicks the whole short crush to smithereens, jumps over whats left of the wooden poles and makes a beeline for the road. They neighbour's children start screaming and run off in different directions faster than what the horse is going. The stallion, not disturbed by all the chaos around him, runs over the road, clears a gate and disappears into the hills. Wonder if the loud neighbour has managed to find him...
Never a dull moment when you live on a farm.
The farmer and I were in stitches on the way back home.
I wanted to take a pic of the bugger, but obviously it was not possible. Below is a pic of his parents. He looks just like his father, Duiwel, who is a blue roan but his coloring is more that of his mother(the red-brown mare on the right)
