Most Expensive - Part 2 - Eyewear

No one I know does NOT like a fab pair of Sunglasses. Yes, today it's the most expensive Sunglasses in the world.

Last week I found myself in the Sunglass Hut store in the V&A Waterfront. (Had a voucher to use)
Once again all the most expensive Tom Ford's and D & G's caught my eye. After about an hour I settled for the most gorgeous pair of RayBan Aviators.

The San Francisco 7th Annual World Naked Bike Ride was held on Saturday, June 12th, 2010. Why would anybody get on a bike and ride through the streets of San Francisco naked? I would do it for fun and because not a singe person there knows me. These guys do it  "To make an impactful statement about world dependency on oil and petrochemicals."

This event happens in 70 cities over 20 countries. It was banned in Cape Town. Hmmm wonder why.

Yeah, I would do something like this.

The Most Expensive - Part 1

This morning I woke up with an urge to do some serious shopping. The poor farmer was also lured into the bakkie with a promise of a nice breakfast afterwards. So off we went to Riversdale. One Foshini and the "Handels Huis" later(that's all the shops in town, but still better than the Pepstores in Heidelberg!), there was STILL no shopping bags in my arms. By this time I am already bedonnerd because the farmer has TWO bags in his arms! To come to the point: This whole excursion just made me realise that every single thing I like in a shop is always the most expensive thing in the shop too... Bummer if you go shopping to feel better, but come back home feeling even more depressed.

This is therefore my 1st post in a series of "The Most Expensive in the World" - Starting with handbags - One of my pet obsessions.

The Hermes Birkin Bag - $ 1.9 million

Hermes Cocodile Birkin bag - $ 120 000 

Precious Rose bag - $ 92 000

One thing is crystal clear: If that Crocodile Hermes bag was on display with 20 other (R800 a bag) bags, I would have walked straight to it!

Mother of a MOTH

Last night while watching TV "someone" "knocked" on the kitchen window. I walked towards the window and saw this huge mother of a moth trying to get inside - probably coming after the light as well. I kid you not, this thing is huge-I have never seen a moth this big. Well, I took a photo and then forgot about the poor thing. Today, while standing in front of the basin, my eye catches the moth again! So I took another photo, with my ruler lined up next to it, just an case you think I am a drama queen.
(The farmer says this one is small.)
